Is it just me, or does the new iTunes logo look horrible in the dock? It doesnt seem to match anything, and it just doesnt look as "clean" as the typical dock logos have been/should be. When i went to click iTunes for the first time and it changed from the nice/clean green logo to this blue cheesy looking 1995 icon, I was pretty surprised!

Man, Apple keeps getting lower and lower. First Walmart, now this?
Uh, they've sold the iPhone 4. Who care WHERE you get it, it's still an iPad.

I am sure someone has a 24" S-IPS panel.LGs doesnt say if it is or not.
It would be nice to see Apple make it 24" though, but if the current panels dont permit them to do it at the same quality, I am fine with it staying the same.
I am basing my "insight" on http://aryarya.net/wassyoi/lcdmemo.html
A very good source for lcd panel specs. There is no 24" IPS panel in use, only PVAs

The point of the military is to defend the country/save lives. Yet they don't want to address healthcare which plays a role in thousands and thousands of deaths annually and a poor quality of life for millions more.

I feel like the cantankerous old man sitting on his porch and yelling at the neighborhood kids to get off his lawn...Yeah, I'm still rockin' the 3G.
Honestly though, I'm going to wait for iPhone5 (or whatever number/letter combo) regardless of when it comes out because I've had a great experience with iPhone. Come July I'll have had the same phone for 3 years, and yeah, it's getting slow and it can't do some of the same things 3GS and 4 users can, but the bottom line for me is that the phone still does everything that it's done since day-one, and still does it well.
This time around, I'm not going to wait in lines, or some of the more crazy stuff like camp out, but whenever it comes out I'll scoop one up.
I think competition from Droid and other phone OS and hardware producers is a good thing, it means a better product hopefully for everyone. And yeah stats do matter, but I think one aspect of technology that gets undervalued is user experience. I've had a great user experience from iPhone, and that's while I'll buy another.

Hey guys, allow me to redirect the conversation here because I think you're all missing the point a little bit:
OK, so I just watched the video and all I can say is that the video demo IN NO WAY proves that they've done what they say they can do. First, the BIGGEST thing in this exploit was that this hack was supposed to work without having to connect the hacked machine to any network, yet the first thing they did in the demo was CONNECT the Mac to the Dell!!! Not to mention that they attached a third-party network adaptor (if that was even what it was). Even then, all they got was a shell for the current user.
That doesn't even start to get to the issue of what the video actually showed--which was VERY LITTLE. Just watch it, where is the proof that they even actually did the things which they claimed? I could have made that video EASILY. When I first read the report, I thought the video was going to be one of something that was done LIVE! Hardly...

absolutely love this, well done. such a nice picture.. the city scape in the background.. just great!
Thanks! I was waiting for the sunset over the city last night and the clouds screwed me. So I stuck around in the cold and took some night shots. Here's another from the same bench that I didn't like as much.

This is kinda creepy. It's good they're trying to fix the problem, but it sucks that there is a problem. I work in an elementary school as its computer tech and the district is going to give me & the techs @ the other schools in the district a MacBook to administer tests and stuff. If someone hacked into my MacBook, they can get a lot of info on both all the kids as well as the faculty.

Your windows installation will not hurt your OSX installation.
They don't see eeach other, and windows is on a seperate partition.
Stop calling people a moron if you don't know what you are talking about.
Boot camp basically eliminated the need to ever buy a PC.
It was an incredibly smart move.
Windows may not be able to read or write to the mac partition, but it will still be there. There is nothing stopping a _really_ malicious virus from messing around with the partition table to bring the whole thing crashing down.
IIRC It was because of the problem with viruses corrupting boot records that microsoft cludged their disk partitioning software FDISK to include the /MBR switch to allow it to wipe previously inaccessible boot records.
However, for those people who just need windows for one or two programs, and who have the awareness to patch and lock it down correctly, then bootcamp is a good idea.

Can you imagine what this wireless zuneing feature will be like in the real world? I bet they haven't come up with a way to make the wireless feature only try talking to the zune you want it to, so it'll try talking to any other zune within the proximity of the wireless transmission capability.
You'll be walking down a crowded street in a hurry trying to get your music playing when all of a sudden a box will pop up over your interface "User s8trBoi wants to send you the song "Skate or Die" by "The Snotty Adolescent Band." Do you want to accept?" You think wtf? Then suddenly it disappears and a new box pops up that says "Connection Lost, would you like to try again? [retry] [cancel] [stop] [close zuneing port]" After this keeps happening you click [close zuneing port], which turns off the wireless capability on your zune. Then you can't share songs anymore, and the pref to turn it back on will be buried under a complex interface. So the wireless capability will be used for all of a week for most people.
Then maybe spammers will realize that this is a whole new fertile ground for their sludge. So you'll be walking down the street and suddenly a box will pop up over your interface that says "User "*BUY CHEAP VIAGRA*" wants to send you the song "ONLY 5 DOLLARS PER BOTTLE!!!" by "WWW.WE-R-SPAM.COM" Do you want to accept?"
Zune sounds like a great new world. Thanks Microsoft.

London is not representative of the rest of the UK at all. It skews almost every figure released that is related to population. I've never seen anyone with a gun, I don't know anyone with a gun and I doubt I ever will.
This is always going to be the case when a single city has over 12% of the country's population.

I'm really tempted to get this and go play it on my friends Xbox 360. I keep hearing a bunch of good things about. Some say it is even better than Halo 1. I wont know this till I try it as Halo 1 is my favorite out of the three but who knows, I might be very surprised!

Not only did 3D without glasses suck on the 3DS, it isn't even possible on an iPad. Just think about it: The iPad is always advertised as a very orientation independent device. But turning it from landscape to portrait would immediately kill the 3D effect. Unless Apple found some new "magic" 3D technology, this rumor is just complete bs in every way.

I read my Verizon TOS. Then I called since I am considering adding a line. Unfortunately they don't grandfather their plans.
You sure about that? Pretty sure my father's plan is grandfathered, it's some older version of family plan. The TOSes always say "may at any time" or some such language, that doesn't mean they actually force changes. And the phone companies generally don't even change prices, unlike the TV companies.

Can you rephrase that sentence? I have no clue what you just said (I suspect you meant sales rather than sells... sells = verb, sales = plural noun).
And for some reason it is bugging me and I want to know what you meant, but I really can't parse your grammar there.
Should the first part be "Their sales are not on that much"? and what is in those computers and what has that got to do with their sales not being on that much?
As I said, I'm really completely confused by that sentence.
Blame my English professor...I do. And M$ Word
Asus produces 30% of consumer motherboards. Apple buys asus motherboards. Many apple PCs run ASUS hardware. So while ASUS doesn't sale the most completed PCs they get their product out their. And they currently have the best Completed PCs in terms of reliability.
