I heard that from someone else, I tried it but that's referring to the amount of times it repeats. If you don't respond it will repeat that many times until you do. This issue is the double vibrate right when you get the text. I can see how people like it, but it's just annoying for me. My emails and texts are usually in the same importance level and I need to respond to either of them ASAP. It just feels weird and kinda wish they had the option. Oh well. Maybe in 4.3.2
Hmmm, that's weird. When my phone is set to vibrate, I believe it only vibrates once on text messages. Of course I don't get very many texts, and I don't set my phone to vibrate very often. I'll test to make sure and let you know.

The only thing Wal-Mart CAN do is lower
their prices to undercut online distributors
even more. And maybe realize that DVDs
are nicer than downloaded movies.
A lot of the people who shop at wal-mart
don't have high speed internet anyway.
I don't. I'll keep buying my movies from
Blockbuster, BestBuy, and Wal-Mart until
I am able to get them online.

^^^ Wow! Very cool. Is that as hard as it appears to put together or is there some trick to it?
Looks like something done with Mosaic Creator, a program I use to play with in the windows platform. Check out it out at http://www.aolej.com/mosaic/versions.htm:)

You mean rhetorical, as opposed to redundant?
If you're gonna try to use big words, at least act like you know what they mean.
I did intend to use the word redundant instead of that other big word you used (what does that one mean anyway?).
Perhaps I used the word incorectly, now that I look at my sentence. The feeling I was going for is that there is never a shortage of posters who state and restate the redundantly obvious.
BTW...what was your point? Surely you had something critical or insightful to say about what I wrote about Macs or Apple?
Anyhooo... (I know that is not really a word)
...A MB with new Intel goodies sounds alright to me...I am in the middle of a trip and I borrowed a friends PC notebook to use while travelling on boats and trains and such...I feel much more productive, though, I feel like I have been ignoring people, running the risk of looking like a snob;) .
I'll most surely be adding a new MB after they are upgraded. Apple can take a few more weeks if they wish...I need it to gather the funds anyway.

What I want to know is how gun crime correlates to poverty regardless of race.
In the United States:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Lifetime_prevalence_of_incarceration.png
Hispanics are the poorest demographic in the United States, black people are the second worst off.
Further the majority of violent crimes committed by Hispanics in the united states are committed by illegals (not necessarily illegal immigrants). This allows for a-lot of the cartel based violence currently going on in Mexico (thanks to America's ridiculous drug laws) to cross the border.
While inter cartel violence is hardly a mitigating factor it does suggest that much of the violence has little relation to the communities themselves but is instead being imported.
What bother's me about this issue is that I think a-lot can be done by working with community leaders to curb these tragic issues. But before we can start confronting the issues we need to have an open conversation about them.

Ordered a 2 gig at the new lower price. This will be a surprise for my brother, whose 2 gig nano (that he got free with MacBook purchase) was run over by a car a few weekends ago. He was quite unhappy. I take some responsibility for it because, following my lead, we ran across the busy street rather than walking to the nearby traffic light. The iPod fell out of his pocket when he broke into the run.

If there's one thing that exercise shows, it's that the one thing that would have the biggest impact on balancing the budget isn't cuts, but raising taxes.
Yet if we're supposedly in some life and death emergency like Rand Paul says, how come the GOP doesn't even want to consider raising taxes? After all, if both rich and poor would inevitably be screwed otherwise, the fiscal health of the nation would mandate shared sacrifice, and that would include taxes on the rich.
Here's my theory why (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starve_the_beast).

Good point.
altho, if they over inflate themselves, they could always pop.
maybe one reason they havent had a tablet...their market analysis must have concluded that people arent interested in the current offerings of tablets, either due to interface awkwardness, or high prices, etc

All this proves is that Beatles fans like to waste their money repurchasing music they already own just because it's available in a new format. I bet that most of the albums and individual songs sold were purchased by people who already own that album/song.
Or perhaps a new generation of fans bought the music.

Utter rubbish.
The next iPad will NOT have a 3D display.
You really think they'll bring out a retina 3D screen? Because I think retina would be slightly more of a priority.
No idea why this has even been posted...

I was waiting for the 'we've licensed the Beatles' announcement after he'd played some of their songs as well. Though thinking about it, that would be done at a separate announcement, when Apple need some easy pr.
I agree; it was a teaser. I think everyone was expecting the announcement, and playing The Beatles during the keynote got everyone excited.
But this clearly deserves its own event. Also, 2007 is the 20th anniversary of the CD releases, and the 40th anniversary of the release of Sgt. Pepper. These are both big milestones, and both Apples will want to capitalize on it. I don't think it was coincidence that they played a track from Sgt. Pepper (Lovely Rita was it? I haven't seen the keynote). Look for an announcement in the near future, followed by a release (of at least Sgt. Pepper) on June 1, which is the 40th anniversary date.
In addition to downloads, I'd also really like to see upgraded CD (or even surround) releases of the UK albums.

On the last page of Part 12 I posted a setup that is located in my home office (mainly used by my wife). Different room.
I decided to update my own office (kind of) with a brand spanking new iMac which is replacing my late 2009 Macbook Pro.
Old Specs Macbook Pro 17":
2.8 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB RAM
500GB + 80GB SSD ( took it out before selling)
Nvidia 9400M + 9600M
New Specs iMac:
2.93Ghz i7
8GB RAM
1TB Hard Drive + (still want my 80GB SSD inside this baby, but difficult to do so!)
ATI Radeon HD 5750 1GB
So far, so good.
The speakers are also still there, but these are not shown in the picture.
This is an old/new comparison.
Mind the quality, but my iPhone 4 broke (will be replaced) on me so I used an old iPhone first generation.
I kept the iPad 64Gb Wifi.
Feedback is always welcome. :D

wireless capabilities is the way of the future. I don't see ourselves in 10 years still being limited by wired headphones and such. Maybe it'll be easier than the Zune (haven't seen the demo) but the idea of beaming a song for somebody else to download/hear is pretty cool to me.
wireless headphones, sure. That's coming, and soon. But beaming songs to other people? No, I don't think it will ever be a very popular idea. I want to listen to my music, not the guy's next to me. That's why I own what I own and not something else. Besides, if I'm wearing headphones that probably means I'm not with anyone I know, and I'm certainly not going to be sharing music with strangers because it would just be weird.

If there's going to be a preview release at WWDC, does that not mean that we could seeing a full release very soon? As in, later this year?
