I read my Verizon TOS. Then I called since I am considering adding a line. Unfortunately they don't grandfather their plans.
You sure about that? Pretty sure my father's plan is grandfathered, it's some older version of family plan. The TOSes always say "may at any time" or some such language, that doesn't mean they actually force changes. And the phone companies generally don't even change prices, unlike the TV companies.

I love the idea. A yellow 80GB iPod with the full Beatles collection (or black with the yellow dial). A huge score for Apple in the war with MS.
I'd never buy any Beatles music myself for personal reasons, but, I'd still be glad to see Apple score this coup.
(on the idea of the custom iPod, why don't they still offer the U2 version with the discount on the full U2 collection?...)

Yeah!!! You forgot the part about world peace and end of hunger....
Yeah!!! You against the world! I suppose you also write to fashion magazines, complaining that all their models have perfect, skinny bodies....
But all kidding aside, without Flash, you must be having a pretty poor and limited web experience. Or, you just hang out on the Apple site.... :D
So, let me get this straight.
You are for:
Sloppy code, anorexia, bulimia, and famine.
And you are against:
Apple and world peace.
Good choice.

If you think the stereo mixes are good, you NEED to find a copy of the mono mixes. They are much better, and much more in keeping with the original vision of the songs. The Beatles (and Martin/Emerick/others) largely ignored the stereo mixes until the late 60s' because it wasn't a popular format. In some cases, the mono mixes are drastically different than the stereo. And THAT was the way the songs were originally intended.
The word "remix" has taken on a bad connotation lately. The songs shouldn't be "rearranged" (as is the common understanding of "remix"), but the actual elements need re-balancing, mostly in the area of placement in the stereo field (as others have pointed out). Plus the actual sonic quality of the CDs is poor, and the mixes, as they stand today, need to be remastered in higher quality digital.
I agree and disagree.
agree that the mono mixes are better. but leave the stereo ones alone. they can remaster them if they want... but I dont think the actual mixes should be messed with. I certainly dont trust Sir Paul to be sitting in front of the mixing console saying to George martin "hey, can we turn up the sap?" if all the beatles were alive, maybe. but I'd rather them release the albums with both Stereo and mono mixes on them. like Beach boys did with Pet sounds (and its still only 12.99)

He didn't say it was valid for Intel v. AMD. He simply stated architecture. AMD has its own architecture, which is a RISC chip with CISC emulator as far as I'm concerned. He even compared two AMD chips. Here, the MHz/GHz is a very valid benchmark.
By the way, the 2.8GHz P4 kills AMD Athlon XP 2600+ for normal operations, but AMD Athlon XP 2600+ kills P4 when it comes to rendering with Maya, etc. Different things are superior in either.

You guys are missing a huge point. A couple actually. There not going to take away the high storage and only leave people with a 64GB option, because people would buy the 120GB Zune. Have you ever though that they are going to release a huge 10 year anaversery or something? Also, so what? It's been 2 years since an upgrade. Why freak out? It's a classic, it doesn't need to do anything more. Also, the Zune HD and other Zunes haven't been updated in over 3 years,,, many products just don't need them right now.

correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't this WWDC really going to Promot 'Leopard'. Which would invlove promoting the new features of Leopard?
What's the point of promoting features of Tiger.
I do think it's real. Like everyone though, I looked to identify all the icons, to see if I caught something new. Boot Camp is basically one of the biggest features that we know will be in Leopard, and basied solely off This poster... nothing mentioned about Boot Camp. I just found that interesting.

Do a little research on eBay and see how many of these are listed and sold per hour. These cheap Chinese imports are not tracked in overall sales figures of MP3 players. I don't know what kind of market share they have.1) I don't use eBay - but how many iPods are sold there?
2) How many iPods are sold - through regular outlets - every hour?
3) iPods are made in China
4) If you don't even know the market share how do you know they are threatening iPod sales?

To be honest, I'd rather get better colours, better black and all that. An AMOLED display on an iPad would absolutely amazing (AMOLED Retina would be even better).
AMOLED with its stupid pixel layout makes text look fuzzy even on high resolution screens. Apple was smart to stay away from AMOLED.

Are you kidding? Netflix destroyed it with streaming. Disney and Sony aren't even advertising for it anymore. The Blu Ray players are being sold dirt cheap at clearance sales because it's a dying/dead format.
And I never liked it anyway, the 25 GB disc wasn't filled all the way because of the stupidly lossy compression, and it was expensive.
Maybe, but up here in Canada we have to pay through the roof for bandwidth so Netflix is kind of lame. I don't think all the players are being sold that cheap there are just more companies making cheap ones for the masses. I personally like Blu Ray for the quality that Netflix can't offer.
However, I could be wrong does Netflix deliver 1080P?

What the hell? Since when have apple made desktop computers?
Sarcasm? Hard to tell. It's more polite to use some indication (smiley, text note) since there are many non-native English participants on this forum.
Anyhow, Apple Inc. was founded in 1976 and has made desktop computers continually since its inception.
Today's desktop product lines include: iMac, Mac mini, and Mac Pro.

As I eagerly await delivery of my first iPad, I know that I want an iPod that will only play music. When I am exercising, I don't want to receive phone calls or emails, I just want music, and I want a device that will hold all of my 12,145 songs, with room to grow.
I don't needs apps, I don't want communication...I just want music.
Airplane mode?

If I could replace my iPod classic with a 120GB iPod Touch I would do it in a heartbeat. To me the only think the classic has on the touch is storage size. In every other way the Touch is much better.

Has anyone beat it on legendary? Is there a different ending?
I haven't finished my Legendary run yet, but I've talked with people who have, and as of right now, there is no extra ending for Legendary. There are a bunch of hidden items in the game (Data Pads, Gold Ranger Elites, Switches, etc), and people are thinking that completing some, or all of these things, in conjunction with Legendary difficulty, might yield a different ending. We'll have to wait and see. It just wouldn't be a Halo game without a special ending. And, given this is Bungie's last Halo, it would be really strange if they didn't include one.

As long you have the option to toggle it, I don't see a problem. If anyone can do 3D right, it'll be Apple.
